How did you come to decide on having a destination wedding?
At first, my husband and I wanted to do a traditional wedding; A Catholic church ceremony and then a reception hall. After visiting a number of venues, our bridal party suggested using the money that we were going to spend on the venue ONLY and put that towards Our new life after marriage. It did make sense because the venue we fell in love with cost about $47,500.00 for only 250 guests. I have a large family from both mother and father side. it would of been really hard to pick and choose who could attend my wedding. We didn't want to spend all that money for just a couple of hours. We contacted our travel agent and told her what we were looking for and she worked her magic. She was able to still give us a Catholic chapel ceremony along with an all inclusive resort which catered to both adults only and family, a resort that has great entertainment, amazing service and of course plenty of benefits for my husband and I. We had 183 people attend our destination wedding! So with all that being said, that is when we realized having a destination wedding would be a better decision for us.
Aside from marrying the love of your life, what was the best part of your destination wedding?
The best part of my destination wedding was seeing all of our family and friends having an amazing time and telling us how much they were in LOVE with the resort.
What comments have you heard from guests about their wedding experience?
The comments I heard were, “Oh my gosh, I have to come back to this resort” “I need to stay here for a month” “THE FOOD WAS AMAZINGGGG!!!” “You gotta do the spa” “This place is sooo beautiful” “Your wedding was the wedding of the year” “You set the bar high for all of us”
Looking back, is there anything you would have done differently?
Looking back, I don't think I would change anything except for doing the activities that were on the resort, such as canoeing and actually going to the beach.
What advice would you give to couples considering a Hard Rock destination wedding?
The advice I would tell couples considering Hard Rock is to tell them your ideas that you have for your wedding and they will bring it to life. You will get treated like royalty like they advertise. The best experience you will ever have.
